Allen and Virginia the last time they saw each other
(Christmas 1984)

As we matured and as our parents aged, we were able to become close to each of them again. We loved our parents deeply.

Allen and Virginia saw each other the last time on Christmas 1984 at Veta’s house. They talked about getting back together, but what they really longed for was the happy, hopeful times of their youth.

In April 1994 Allen went to Virginia’s funeral.
