Baked Potatoes

several large white russet potatoes

Preheat oven to 450ºF. Scrub the potatoes thoroughly with a brush. Puncture once with a fork. Cook one hour in a preheated oven. To test to determine if done, squeeze potatoes to see if they soft or poke with a blunt knife to see if it goes all the way through.

Baked Sweet Potatoes

Preheat oven to 450ºF. Scrub the potatoes thoroughly with a brush. Puncture once with a fork or cut off the small end. Cook 50 minutes to one hour in a preheated oven. To test for doneness, squeeze potatoes to see if they are soft or poke with a blunt knife to see if it goes all the way through.
